Busway has solid design elements and thus has better resistance than cables, especially in the case of Short Circuit. Busway has short distance between conductors which in turn reduces resistance. It also features a thin, flattened frame that helps in optimal distribution of current density and thus reduces resistance. Due to the lower levels of density, the voltage loss is much lower than for cables of the same length.
